Vuzix, leading supplier of smart glasses and Augment Reality (AR) technology and products, has now introduced the Blade 2™ smart glasses – the third generation of this popular model. The Blade 2 is available to pre-order from Westbase.io today, with general availability expected to follow quickly in the coming weeks.

Based on the favoured Blade form factor, the new Blade 2™ delivers more advanced features and higher performance – ideal to meet the needs of connected workers. Designed for commercial use, it features a power efficient, higher performance Qualcomm processor running Android 11. This means that as well as getting a serious processor upgrade, it can also support a larger variety of enterprise-focused apps than the previous 1.5 version.

Other upgrades include the built-in 40GB of integrated storage and enhanced security, plus simplified integration with major mobile device management tools. It also supports 5Ghz WiFi and Bluetooth for improved connectivity experience.

Building on the popularity of earlier Blade models, it continues to feature:
